The first moment I started talking to Mackenzie, I knew she had the best spirit about her. Always happy and I could hear the smile in her voice! After meeting Ben during their Milwaukee engagement session, it was easy to see that these two are the perfect match. They definitely make each other super happy and they are such an amazing couple to be around. Their laughter and playfulness is contagious! I absolutely loved photographing these two during their engagement session. I smiled so much while reviewing and editing their images!

We met at the Lakefront Colectivo coffee shop in Milwaukee for some snowy snuggles by the twinkle lights first! The weather was misty and foggy, but thankfully it was warm(er) (byeeee polar vortex). The fog was so beautiful on the lake – a gorgeous blue reflection out over the water! There was also a perfect breeze down by the water (which I am always a fan of!) They walked the pier hand in hand, Ben pulled her close and twirled her. Little did I know he is so romantic and frequently spins her! (adorable!!)

We finished the engagement session off in the third ward. The alley way provided a perfect spot for these two to snuggle under a personalized blanket from their friend with the coordinates of where he proposed on it! We also used this opportunity to be a little goofy – lots of spins, dances and kisses. When we had finally had enough of the mist, we went into the Journeyman for some fireside cuddles. They joked and chatted about cross country skiing while I sat back and captured their unquestionable love for one another.

Thank you Mackenzie and Ben! I really enjoyed this afternoon with you and I cannot wait for your wedding this fall at the River Room. I hope you love some of my favorites from the engagement session XO
