I met Jillian and Ryan last fall for their pregnancy announcement session at Lion’s Den Park in Grafton, Wisconsin (which feels like yesterday!). This past weekend we met to photograph their maternity session at the very same park, which is one of my favorite locations in the Milwaukee area. We felt super lucky to catch another sunny evening – you never know what type of weather you will have at this time of year in Wisconsin. Their wonderful glow of excitement stayed the same, plus a beautiful baby bump – minus just a few leaves, wildflowers, and temperature degrees. You wouldn’t know the cool Wisconsin winter temperature from looking at these photos though – this gorgeous mama-to-be has the most radiant smile and they stayed snuggled close the whole time! Isn’t Jillian stunning in that navy dress?! (Ryan and Finley, you guys look good too!) They are expecting a baby boy at the end of the month and I am SO excited for them. I am super honored to be photographing their fresh 48 and lifestyle newborn session as well!

Their adorable yellow lab, miss Finley, is the sweetest. I really love that they bring her to the sessions, because she is really a part of their family!! Plus, she helps me get some genuine laughter with her playful antics. I don’t even mind holding her drool filled tennis ball to get the best shots – anything for a dog 🙂

I love capturing expecting couples who are visibly beaming with love and joyful anticipation of meeting their new baby. I know these two will make excellent parents, but more importantly Finley will make the best big sister and full time partner in crime. I am always excited to see these three and I can’t believe they will be a family of four oh so soon!
