BLACK CAT ALLEY ENGAGEMENT SESSION | MILWAUKEE, WI | ERIN + MATT

We adventured all over the city for Erin and Matt’s engagement photos! It was a rainy evening, but we dodged it gracefully while exploring so many great spaces. We started at Downtown Books – an adorable little bookstore right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. (Not to mention it is home to some seriously adorable resident cats!) While here, Erin and Matt read snippets of favorite books to one another, snuggled while perusing and even danced in the aisles! After purchasing some awesome new books, we decided to venture to Black Cat Alley, but we needed to make a quick stop to Swing Park and the bridge on the way.

At Swing Park, we strolled out onto the bridge and while we were there they showed me their amazing dance moves!! These two met while swing dancing in part of a group called Cream City Swing! How amazing is that?? When Erin first inquired with me she talked about their wedding saying she hoped “to have a glass of champagne in one hand and a cupcake in the other” while on the dance floor – and if that doesn’t sound like the most fun bride ever..! Her pink skirt really popped on the neutral bridge, but I just loved all the color throughout this session!! At Black Cat Alley, they walked arm and arm under an umbrella that Erin purchased at a circus rummage sale! The murals are all so beautiful and if you haven’t been there yet, I encourage you to go (and stop in Crossroads Collective for some Scratch ice cream like we did!). Plus the cafe string lights there added an extra bit of romance to the session!

Erin and Matt are getting married where they met at Best Place where they originally met! I cannot wait to document their day and celebrate these two awesome people!!
