I adore meeting couples at locations that are significant to them – it brings such a personal touch to the session. We started photographing Chris and Kelsey’s engagement session at Rochambo Coffee House in Milwaukee, WI in the exact spot where he proposed. My sentimental heart LOVED it. Also, there was pretty lighting and fun colored buildings so win, win! From the first second I started photographing them it was easy to see their love! They are definitely the perfect match for one another and I felt so lucky to capture these moments. They have a love that is infectious!! It just made me so happy to be around them and I feel so honored to be chosen to photograph them!
After the coffee shop, we walked around the corner to the building where they shared their first apartment (awww!) Their pup, Doyle, came along and he was so excited to be back at his old stomping grounds. He even tried to sneak into the building a few times! The old building served as a wonderful backdrop with all of its adorable charm! We then made our way down to the riverfront to Caesar Park. The lighting + their love made for some dreamy images. They danced, snuggled, walked Doyle around, just soaking in this wonderful time together.
We ended the session with slow dancing in a flower and twinkle light lined alleyway. Moments like these always remind me how much I really love LOVE. Especially the kind that these two share, they love like no one is watching (let alone standing two feet away with a camera) I cannot wait for their wedding at Historic Courthouse 1893 – exactly one year from tomorrow! (eek- that is so exciting!)
Kelsey and Chris, thank you for sharing your love with me. I really look forward to your big day! I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from your session! XO
