Lion’s Den Nature Preserve in Grafton is always a favorite location of mine. The woods, lake, beach, bridges and fields all give such a unique variety to a session! When Brooke and Alex were looking for a spot with water and greenery – I knew it had to be here! Bonus, I always love a gentle breeze in the hair to give the image some movement and the lake almost never fails at that! We really lucked out weather wise (since it’s been so hot and humid lately) but there is no escaping those awful mosquitoes right now – I am over those little guys for sure. Either way, they kept on kissing and snuggling just the same!!
These two really support each other and complement one another so beautifully. Fishing is an important hobby to Alex, so Brooke made sure to come prepared with adorable ways to incorporate his gear. They have been busy putting extra time in renovating their home and making wedding plans, but they still seem to find such an ease with the other’s presence. They had no trouble at all cozying up in front of the camera. It definitely felt so natural to photograph these two.
They are planning the big day for next May at Terrace 167. A gorgeous local venue that will be sure to accentuate their day! I am looking so forward to documenting Brooke’s garden party details!!
Brooke and Alex, thank you so much for trusting in me to capture these memories (and for pretending like we weren’t being harassed by hordes of mosquitoes.) I cannot wait to join you on your wedding day! XO
