For starters, I would like to go on record saying this precious little guy has THE BEST big brown eyes ever. I swear it took every urge to not want to snuggle him like a teddy bear the whole time! Also, when his mama contacted me about photographing his lifestyle one year session at their Germantown home, I could not believe he is already ONE. I photographed his newborn session just a few months ago…I swear. Where does time go guys?! Their perfectly curated home made a great backdrop to this session and his mama baked the cake for him! Love that! Kiddos always feel the most comfortable in their own home and I just love getting to see their genuine selves. Such amazing little personalities! He totally had the GQ smolder going on a couple times 🙂

Edwynn loved spending time climbing all over his new birthday present – his beautiful potterybarn chair from his Grandma. He even stood on it a few times just to keep us on our toes! His curiosity is so admirable! Also, how cute is his Honest Co. diaper that says happy birthday?! Added bonus, who doesn’t love a naked baby – SO cute. The little moments are the ones that we never want to forget, like how much he adores his stuffed monkey. I loved capturing him sharing snuggles with her, such a great memory of this time. He was not too sure about the cake portion of the session, but we made sure he had a chance to taste the frosting. Their beloved pup, Ted, helped to clean up the mess and snuck in a couple kisses.

Edwynn is such a strong little guy and I admire this family so much. I feel so blessed to be a small part of their journey and I hope that these images will serve as precious memories for a lifetime! Happy Birthday Edwynn!! XOXO
