I am biased in several ways, but I am still willing to go on record that this is the best summer camp engagement session ever. Photographing Michelle and Sean at the place where their love began (Camp Lakotah) was SO romantic for my mushy heart. The beautiful camp is run by my amazing, inspiring mom! We enjoy many days in these very spots during the summer, but photographing this wonderful couple made it even more special. On top of the gorgeous location, we lucked out with the perfect summer evening for weather (watch for the sunset at the end!!)
Michelle and Sean were so great at being natural in front of the camera, despite them trying to persuade me otherwise several times before the session. We started the session beneath the trees in the area of camp known as Cathedral Pines. These amazing pine trees line the path and tower above you, nature is so wonderful!!! Next, we went for the wildflower fields and golden sunlight. Because honestly – who can resist that glowing summer sun?! We certainly have to enjoy it while it lasts!! The lakefront was the perfect spot to end the session and watch the sunset. Just when I thought the session was winding down, that they must’ve definitely had enough of me…they decided to try one last spot. Next thing I know we are all in the water, soaking wet. The absolute hands down most romantic end to any session I’ve ever been a part of. It was worth getting all my clothes wet, I did not even think twice before following them in.
Michelle and Sean are planning their wedding for next Fall in England! I am so excited to be there with them on their wedding day. I admire these two so much and I am so happy for them as they make plans to spend their lives together. XO
ps. be sure to check out Camp Lakotah for your wedding venue or as a summer camp for kids!!!
