Jillian and Ryan are expecting a baby in March 2018. I got to meet them for a sunshine and wildflower filled pregnancy announcement session! There is something sooo exciting about expecting your first baby – a feeling that cannot be duplicated. The hardest part about this session was having to wait to post these gorgeous pictures until they told their friends and family! These sessions are so special to me because I am a huge sucker for milestones like this. I could feel their joy and I think you can see it in the images too! My hope is that these images will serve as a meaningful reminder to this chapter in their lives.

Jillian is totally my kind of girl, not only is she super down-to-earth, but she is also a super planner like me! She had tons of cute props and personal items to incorporate into the session. These special touches are what really makes a session so awesome! The balloons were super fun even if we could never get them to stay quite right in the Lake Michigan breeze, but this made for a great laugh. Even Ryan had something he wanted to incorporate – Packers jerseys! I am allll about the green and gold and they went nicely with the blooming goldenrod (plus, just look at that sweet little mini jersey!). The best thing they brought along with them was their yellow lab, Finley. I grew up with yellow Labradors so they hold a big place in my heart and this sweet girl was certainly no exception. She is going to be a great big sister! I also love how dogs have a way of breaking the ice, you can’t be nervous in front of the camera when you are focused on your dog pulling me over 😉
